Recently, Equifax has been in the news. And it’s not good news. On September 7th, 2017, Equifax revealed they have been hacked and suffered a massive data breach that affects 143 million people. Almost every household in America is affected. Hackers started stealing data in May, but the breach was not discovered until July 29th. Names, addresses, social security numbers, credit card information, and other personal data that puts you at risk for identity theft was pilfered. No one knows who stole the data and where it’s gone.
