About the event
We are excited to share highlights from this year’s ASEE (American Society for Engineering Education) Northeast Section Conference—an event organized by an internationally recognized organization committed to advancing engineering education. Hosted by Southern New Hampshire University, the event brought together over 250 attendees representing more than 20 institutions. The conference featured a dynamic lineup of presentations, posters, and keynote sessions. We’re especially proud that TCR, Inc. authors Teresa Piliouras, Steffi Crasto, and Pui Lam Yu, in collaboration with Navarun Gupta from the University of Bridgeport, received the Best Professional Paper Award in the Diversity category for their outstanding contribution.
Their paper, "Supporting Human Agency in the Age of Generative AI: Implications for Engineering Education and Workforce Training" introduces the Human Agency Index (HA-Index), a framework for examining how education and workforce programs prepare individuals to remain thoughtful, accountable, and in control when using AI.
